
Andy Williamson brings over 30 years of Canadian and International geoscience expertise to New Wave Exploration Inc., with an Honours B. Sc. Engineering Geophysics in 1985 from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. Since 1985, Andy has developed a well-rounded and unique skill-set rich in all aspects of exploration and development geophysics including seismic interpretation, acquisition and data processing. He has worked for Western Geophysical, Boyd Exploration Consultants, EnCana and its predecessor Alberta Energy Company, Galleon Energy, and Africa Oil Corporation. Andy is fluent in Spanish and has 9 years of international experience from work in Latin America and East Africa, which included lengthy foreign postings.
With a strong early foundation in seismic acquisition and data processing, Andy brings a rare perspective to interpretation, mapping and model building demonstrating proven results in new pool discoveries and fully integrated reservoir characterization yielding new reserve additions. He has been responsible for the drilling of hundreds of wells in Western Canada and internationally. In addition, he has designed and been the project leader for several large 2D and 3D seismic field surveys, many in sensitive areas.
Andy has authored various technical papers and presented at several major conferences and technical meetings.
His proficiency with a wide variety of software applications brings creativity, innovation and excellence.
